General Job Responsibilities
Retail
- Provide quotes to retail customers and distributors for new inquiries.
- Handle delegated retail inquiries.
- Follow up with customers and suppliers regarding outstanding payments.
- Update necessary documents with accurate information and close completed orders.
- Follow up with suppliers for quotes on pending inquiries.
Pre-Delivery Inspection/Vessels Leaving
- Pick and issue essential items such as shore leads, jackets, champagne, charts, and flags for all vessels, and order non-stock items as needed.
Stock Maintenance/Invoice Maintenance
- Book incoming stock and customer orders.
- Update the inventory system
- Remove obsolete stock from shelves
Shipping
- Ship orders to customers
- Handle warranty shipping tasks
- Arrange and manage the shipment of dangerous goods
- Complete relevant customs paperwork
Retrofit
- Provide quotes for retrofitting projects
- Order parts quoted for retrofitting jobs
- Pick and organize items for retro projects to ensure efficiency.
Safety
- Conduct weekly fire alarm tests.
- Perform weekly door checks.
- Conduct monthly fire lighting checks.
- Participate in health and safety committee meetings.
- Organize life jacket servicing with the supplier.
Daily/Miscellaneous
- Assist technicians at the service hatch when needed.
- Assist at the goods-in door when needed.
- Manage monthly credit card expenses.
- Add items to the parts online store as needed.
- Order and book uniforms for new and existing staff.
- Authorize daily invoices
- Arrange for the forklift when items arrive for parts, retro projects, and the factory.
