Spa bath and crane – Princess Y85
An owner wanted to make the most of luxury on board and requested a spa bath to be fitted onto the flybridge of their Princess Y85. The spa was fully integrated as if it was part of the original shipyard build and involved upgrading the water pump and adding a second calorifier to meet the additional water demand. The owner also required a crane to give them the option to keep their Williams tender either on the bathing platform or on the flybridge. This was fully integrated into the Böning control system at the helm for ease of use.
Garmin Surround View – Princess F55
Princess Motor Yacht Sales can upgrade navigation systems, so you can feel at ease and in control. Technicians fitted the newly released Garmin Surround View for a customer. They installed 6 cameras; bow, stern and two on each side – the cameras talk to each other to create a 360o view to aid berthing or they can work independently. Princess worked closely with Garmin to ensure everything was fitted to factory standard.
Quick Gyro stabiliser – Princess F50
Requested by a customer in the Balearics, the in-house team, trained by QUICK Italy, were delighted to install this fantastic stabiliser system. The Quick Gyro system ensures great stability at anchor as well as a smooth ride underway. Quick Gyro stabilisers can reduce boat roll by up to 95%, and its innovative user-friendly technology provides complete control.
Bespoke passerelle – Princess F45
This customer wanted to create an additional way to board their yacht when berthed stern to. The bespoke yacht retrofit team at Princess Motor Yacht Sales in Turnchapel took delivery of the new yacht directly from the Princess factory across the water. They produced and fitted a bespoke electro-hydraulic passerelle as per the Princess Yachts shipyard specification and option, with Princess-trained in-house experts. It involved removing some of the GRP in the transom to accommodate the folded passerelle, installing electronics, cabling and technical systems.
Teak flooring – Princess F50
Creating your own style on board your yacht, just as you would at home, is a great way to personalise it. This customer wanted to change the carpet in the main saloon and replace it with beautiful v grooved teak flooring. The retrofit carpentry team created a bespoke template to design, produce and fit this stunning new natural wood flooring.
